Residents of United Kingdom who are seeking the ideal holiday destination should consider taking a trip to Majorca, Spain. This is the largest Spanish island and is located right in the Mediterranean Sea. It is part of the Balaeric Islands. One of the best aspects about travelling to Majorca from the United Kingdom is that there are several travel package options available.

When you are planning on going on holiday, you look for several different factors so that you can find the ideal destination. Naturally, you want to go somewhere that is warm, sunny and will afford beaches as well as a chance to relax under the sun.

In addition, most people today are concerned about price. Tourism in the United Kingdom is down, just as it is in other parts of the Western world. Package deals make the most sense for those who want to travel on their holiday as they can often save money. Package travel options ordinarily include air fare, but also accommodations as well as some attractions.

Palma is the capital of Majorca and has featured a population growth in recent years. Palma is a city that relies very heavily upon tourism and there are many attractions in the city itself for tourists to see. Some of the points of interest that you will want to see when you visit Majorca are Bellver Castle, LaSeu, Coves del Drac, and Serra de Tramuntana to name a few. You can also see the Marivent Palace when you visit this island, which is where the members of the Spanish Royal Family holiday in the summer. This is a private residence, although you can view the area surrounding the palace and also see the sailing competition in which the family participates.

Spanish and Catalan are the languages spoken in Majorca, with the dialect of Catalan very prevalent and differing from village to village. However, if you know Spanish you will not have any problem communicating with the locals. In most of the tourist areas, English is also spoken as well as German.

The summer months are naturally the hottest when visiting this island off of the coast of Spain. However, the weather in Majorca is mild throughout the year and will even be climate during the winter months of December and January. Tourist season is in the summer, which is when most of the travel packages are offered. However, if you are willing to go off season, you can find many good travel deals. An ideal time to visit Majorca is in October when the weather is still very warm, yet is considered to be off season.

When you are visiting Majorca from the United Kingdom, you should use a travel company that you can trust. They should be able to assist you in getting air fare as well as a desirable package that is affordable for your holiday. You will find that Majorca is a destination worth seeing as it offers everything from beaches, historic sites and sunny weather in a Mediterranean locale that is pleasant throughout the year.

What can be a more adventurous and fulfilling scuba diving vacation experience than liveaboard luxury yacht cruising and scuba diving in the tropical islands of Bali?

Contrary to what many scuba divers think, liveaboard scuba diving may not be as expensive as you think. In fact if planned properly, live on board diving vacations may even save you money and inconveniences. Firstly, you will on transportation time and costs traveling to your dive operator’s boat and then after your dive, returning to your hotel or resort lugging your cumbersome scuba diving gear with you and repeating the same process for the next couple of days during your vacation in Bali.

Next, you save money on hotel or resort accommodation because since that you are living on the dive boats, there will be no need for hotel or resort bookings. Furthermore, you do not need to hunt for expensive meals in your hotel or resort since all liveaboard scuba diving packages will include delicious meals which will also mean that you will be probably having very fresh and delectable sea food caught by the crew while you are enjoying your cruise or are scuba diving.

The highlight of your liveaboard Bali vacation is that you can dive in many exotic dive locations instead of only the dive spots near where you stay. This is because since that you need not return to your resort or hotel to retire for the day, the liveaboard dive yachts will cruise away to far flung scuba diving locations while you are sleeping. This again saves you time and best of all, you get to save more money by diving in more places for the same price.

Here is a typical example of a liveaboard Bali scuba diving itinerary. It is a 7 days Bali scuba diving excursion.

Day One – Visit one of Bali’s most interesting street on the way to Pemuteran & Menjangan North West Bali which will also include a stopover in View Point Restaurant Sanda. You will scuba dive in Pemuteran House Reef & Reef Project or Secret Bay in Gilimanuk

Day Two – Your liveaboard boat will cruise to Menjangan Island. You will be diving at the National Park, Walls, Anker Wreck, Coral Garden, buffet lunch on the white powdery sandy beach of the island. The boat will then land and send you to the north coast and visit a well kept secret Waterfall and a hot spring.

Day Three – Scuba diving activities will be at Amed Tulamben or Secret Spot, Drop Off, Liberty Wreck Dive (American battle ship sunk during WW2) & some wall diving.

Day Four – Some land excursion to enjoy the view of Bali’s world famous terraced rice fields in the morning. Then your liveaboard yatcht will take you diving at the Blue Lagoon & White Beach. There will also be a night dive at the Blue Lagoon.

Day Five – Continue your Bali vacation by cruising to Gili Mimpang & Gili Tepekong or Gili Biaha for fantastic dive sites.

Day Six – More scuba diving activities at Gili Biaha or Nusa Penida or Nusa Lembongan. The sea at these diving locations could be rough at times, so the dives would very much be dependant on the weather. However, if the weather allow, you will be scuba diving in one of the most breath taking underwater scenery in the world.

Day Seven – More scuba diving at the Blue Lagoon, White Beach and the Channel and then off to Bali airport to your next scuba diving adventure.

So if you want to save time and money during your Bali scuba diving vacation, why not try liveaboard luxury boats instead?

The Finest Beaches of Turkey

When people think of grand beaches, they generally think of places like California, Florida or Hawaii, but they rarely think of a country like Turkey. Despite being under-publicised, holidays to Turkey offer a wide variety of beaches that stretch along the Mediterranean Sea.

In this article, we will take a look at the top ten beaches found in Turkey.

Patara Beach: Patara is the longest beach in the Mediterranean, and was hailed by The Sunday Times as the best beach in the world. Accommodations are limited, loungers and umbrellas are available to rent, and it is backed by ancient ruins and dunes.

Oludeniz Beach: Oludeniz is Turkey’s most famous beach, and therefore in peak seasons, is the most crowded. There are good hotels to stay at, very good bars, water sports available, scuba diving and is surrounded with resorts.

Olimpos: If you want a more relaxed, romantic atmosphere, this is the beach for you. It is far more secluded and smaller than the other two beaches mentioned so far, and is backed by a forest, which is filled with Roman ruins.

Side: Side is only an hour away from the airport, and is very popular with holiday groups. There is a village and a beach filled with fine sand, as well as some Roman ruins to explore nearby.

Iztuzu Beach: Iztuzu Beach is a national conservation area, and is one of the last breeding places in Europe of the Loggerhead Sea Turtle. It can only be reached by a 20 minute boat ride from the nearby town of Dalyan. There is a lot of beach, and the water is warm and shallow. Nearby, there are some cliff tombs you can explore as well.

Cleopatra’s Beach (Alanya): Alanya is one of the biggest resorts found in Turkey, and Cleopatra’s beach is splendid and very popular. The beach and resort offer great accommodations, facilities and things to do. There is also an old fortress nearby.

Kemer: Kemer is basically a seaside town built along the sea. There are a number of small beaches you can visit, as well as many day-trip opportunities. Most of the beaches are made up of small pebbles, although there are a few with sandy beaches.

Bodrun: Bodrun is home to the original mausoleum, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It is also home to the Castle of St Peter, which used to be a crusader fortress but now serves as the Museum of Underwater Archaeology. The beaches in town are small, but many people visit them as an afterthought to sightseeing.

Pamucak Beach: Most of the beach is public, but on the south side there are some resorts. It is close to the Aqua Fantasy water park, and there is a small hotel where you can get refreshments and amenities. The water is pretty choppy, and there aren’t any life guards, so be careful.

Sinop: Sinop has many fascinating things to see, and the beaches are small. Because the water comes from the Black Sea, it can be rather chilly too.

Scuba diving, like any other skilled activity, must be learned before it can be mastered. So, for those who have a desire to take to the ocean in scuba gear, choosing from among scuba diving classes is an inevitable part of the process. Finding reputable scuba diving classes will ensure that you receive the skills you need to begin your journey in scuba.

The beauty of scuba diving classes is that they can be found anywhere – from small towns to big cities – and do not require proximity to the ocean. As a matter of fact, most scuba diving classes are taught in a pool facility, giving instructors the benefit of a controlled environment in which to teach the basics of scuba. And for a scuba novice, a pool environment is much less intimidating than the ocean, especially when you are just learning how to operate with the variety of scuba gear you must don to dive.

First and foremost in your quest to find scuba diving classes is to ascertain the reputation of classes offered closest to you. It is imperative that you receive lessons from certified instructors who have experience with training – not just participating in – scuba diving. Ask around to find people who have taken scuba diving classes from particular instructors and facilities to narrow down your search. There are actual scuba schools that exist but be sure to check public pool facilities where instructors periodically visit to give scuba diving classes.

In most cases, you can visit the facility, and actually participate in a trial class – at no charge – to determine if it’s the appropriate environment for your particular needs. More often than not, you will begin with comprehensive classroom instruction before even entering the pool.

Additionally, most reputable scuba diving classes will offer equipment for use during lessons. This can be helpful if you have not yet fully committed yourself enough to scuba diving to purchase the expensive equipment.

The most important thing you should receive from scuba diving classes is confidence. It should be a comfortable, well-paced learning environment where you feel that all of your questions are thoroughly answered and where safety is of the utmost concern. Before you know it, you’ll be well on your way to exploring the many mysteries beneath the ocean.

Caribbean scuba diving is one of the rare pleasures available to people vacationing along the warm and clear waters of that tropical paradise. Throughout the year the Caribbean offers comfortable and beautiful weather with white sandy beaches that make the perfect vacation spot for hundreds and thousands of tourists every year. Caribbean scuba diving can be enjoyed in more than 30 locations in the Caribbean Sea and they are all offer scuba diving facilities throughout the year. The difference between these various locations is that they offer you the choice of going the regular tourist way and saying in the company of other travelers like you or you could opt to go for a more non-tourist approach and try to spend the time there like the locals.

One of the rarer spots for Caribbean scuba diving is found on the island of Antigua. Replete with the usual Caribbean advantages of great beaches and clement weather it also has some historical locations that make it a good place to collect memories. While the scuba diving around Antigua is not really deep, it is still breathtaking with the coral reefs that are unmatched in the entire Caribbean.

Another great place for Caribbean scuba diving was the island of Montserrat. This island was the home to a presumed inactive volcano that went unexpectedly active in the year 1996 and destroyed many locations along with half the town. Though the locals still maintain that the scuba diving is excellent though this has to be confirmed with the fact that the town is not nearly as restored to what it once was. This is also a good place if you like to watch active volcanoes at close range. Though this is not for everyone.

Then there are the well known British Virgin Islands that also offer some good Caribbean scuba diving. The British Virgin Islands are a group of small islands that attract many tourists every year. There are many caves, sinkholes, canyons, and ledges that make scuba diving a very interesting prospect in these areas. The most popular spot in the British Virgin Islands is the Painted Walls which feature rainbow colors during the dive. Wreck Diving is also possible here around the R.M.S. Rhone.

If you really want a remote and almost unknown place for Caribbean scuba diving then you should go to Nevis. There are many scuba diving sites on the east side of Nevis. Scuba diving can be done inshore as well as offshore with some beautiful naturally formed coral reefs.

I’m sure that everyone always wants to have a beautiful house. No matter how long he or she has owned that house, of course both exterior and interior of that house become an important matter. To having a beautiful house, sometimes people think that they have to spend lots of money to buy a million dollar big house, or even think about buying mansion. The most common perception emerge in public is that to having a good house, we have to buy the expensive one. In other words, little or small and cheap house can’t be looked well than the more expensive ones.

If you have ever tried to consult your interior specialist or home designer, you will find that the beauty of a house is not decided by its price. Maybe I sound rubbish, but this is the fact, there are many other important aspects you have to pay attention to be able to make your house looks attractive rather than thinking about to buy expensive house.
At over 2,600 miles long and stretching from the chilly seas of the south Pacific to the heat of the tropics it is hardly surprising that Chile encompasses such dramatic variations. My whirlwind trip took me from the cosmopolitan, bustling city of Santiago, with its backdrop of mountains, south to the wilds of Patagonia, north to the dryness of the Atacama and then west to the quite wonderful isolation of Easter Island.

t the southern end of Chile lies the wild, windswept, flat, barren expanse of Patagonia. Once heavily forested all that remains now is the odd clump of stunted beach trees, bent and sculpted by the wind. The rest has become a huge grazing area for sheep, beef and horses split into estancias ranging from 7 – 50,000 acres. But within this otherwise desolate land lie some intriguing areas and none more beautiful than the Torres del Paine national park. Covering an area of 600,000 acres this UNESCO biosphere reserve rises from a myriad of turquoise, ultramarine and grey lakes to the dramatic heights of the Torres Del Paine from which the park takes its name. Essentially an outdoor activity destination, my days were spent on easy walks beside blue glaciers or to catch the tantalising glimpse of soaring peaks. An afternoon of riding found muscles that were long forgotten although the BBQ that followed had beef that would convert a vegetarian. Mountain biking and fishing (at the right time of year) were also available.

A flight via Santiago took me to the opposite end of the country to the Atacama. The driest, highest desert in the world where I again stayed at the Explora Hotel, an oasis of comfort. Days were spent exploring, although the spa and pools were a tempting distraction. Mountain biking in a variety of terrains and long drives which took us to over 13,000ft where remote lakes reflected the ever changing colours of the surrounding peaks. The local village of San Pedro de Atacama is a back packer haven and consequently little cafés had sprung up serving delicious cheap food. In the evenings we were taken out to the salt lake to watch the sun transform the mountains from rich red to deep purple and, as the last rays flickered, so the flamingos glided in silently to begin their nocturnal feed.

Back to Santiago and the 5 hour flight to Easter Island. It might sound like an unnecessary addition but do not be discouraged. It is worth every minute of the journey. Smaller than the Isle of Wight, looking like the west coast of Scotland and dominated by three extinct volcanoes, it retains a magic that is hard to pinpoint. Populated by a fun loving Polynesian people who migrated around the 5th century AD, the small town has plenty of small bars and restaurants. The highlight, of course, are the moai, the extraordinary statues standing some 30ft tall representing the ancestors of the people. There are long easy walks to be had along the cliff tops or up to the crater edge. Toppled moai are everywhere, a testament to the inter clan fighting which destroyed this culture somewhere in the 12th century. I loved it.

My final half day was spent on a walking tour in the port of Valparaiso, about an hour from Santiago airport. We passed brightly painted houses clad in corrugated iron and vibrant street art (now the subject of a book), rode a 19th century funicular (there are 6) which still serve the city, visited museums and ended with a really delicious lunch. Valparaiso is just emerging as the trendy place to live and consequently has an excitement to it. It is also well located for visits to several excellent vineyards.

Accidents in life may occur anywhere and at anytime. It seeks no specific time to arrive. Uncertainties are meant to stay in our lives till we live. Moreover, surveys state that people all over the world today are more likely to be saved and suffer injuries rather than meet death. Medical advancement may be one reason for it. But it is equally important to have an accident insurance, which covers you when you meet with an accident.

It might be possible that you suffer severe injuries while driving or while being on a holiday vacation. You might already have an insurance for your car and holiday tips. But to give yourself a full proof protection, it is important that accidents and injuries are covered individually by a specific insurance. This is where an accident insurance comes in.

There are different kinds of insurance packages available under the insurance scheme covering your accident. Whether you are taking an air trip, car drive or are on an adventurous tour indulging into activities like mountaineering, scuba diving, skiing, etc., this insurance covers you appropriately. For example, if any of your family member dies due to injuries caused by a plane accident, you can claim for the compensation.

However, there are some terms and conditions, which you have to be aware of while buying the insurance. Make sure that you claim the compensation within five days of the accident. Only then will your claim be considered valid and accepted. Accident insurance emboldens you to face the unplanned and unwelcome situations in life. Last but not the least, before you finally buy an insurance do some basic market research to zero in on the one that is going to benefit you ideally. The best method is to do some online research, compare different quotes, and finally choose the best deal available.
